During these sessions, we provide knowledge about techniques and the thought process needed to navigate the single track trails of The Shore.

The Thought Process…

be able to think your way through technical aspects of a trail
a new way to look at starting and stopping, an introduction to body positions, pedal placement, gears, braking, climbing, cornering and line choice

The Ultimate Goal…

to gain an understanding of the various techniques on the less technical trails and then bring your knowledge to the more advanced trails as you progress

The trails used for each session may be easier than most would ride
This allows the rider to focus on skill development

Day 1 – flat gravel field

Day 2 – taking the skills to the trails – Demonstration Forest – Richard Juryn

Day 3 – Lower Griffen//King of The Shore climb; Roadside Attraction, Fromme Mtn

Day 4 – Bobsled, Fromme Mtn

Requirements

Love being outdoors and have a desire to gain the technical skills and thought process needed to ride the amazing single track trails of The Shore!!

What to Bring

The Obvious: Bike and Helmet and knee and elbow pads
The Not So Obvious: spare tube (mandatory), water, snack (no nuts), , all in a backpack, to be carried by the rider.

Expectations

You will be shredding in all weather, please dress accordingly

Drop Off & Pick Up Schedule

Day 1 – Meet at the corner of Lynn Valley Rd and Evelyn St a controlled environment (ie. flat ground) for skill introduction

Day 2 – Meet at the corner of Lynn Valley Rd and Evelyn St

Day 3 – Meet at Upper Lynn Elementary School

Day 4 – Fromme Mountain

Go to the very top of Mountain Hwy. Pass through the yellow gate and follow the road to the divide and proceed down the hill into the parking lot. Escape coaches will be in the North end of the parking lot.
