FreeRiders – Summer

FreeRiders is for confident riders, that are 6 years of age or older, and have already spent time riding Fromme trails.

Our focus will be to build on the skills riders already have, such as knowing that different body positions are used for going up versus going down.  They should ride down using level pedals, meaning they should keep their feet on the pedals and stand.  They should have an understanding of how to use their gears and brakes.  All of these skills will be further developed throughout their week at camp.

Riders must have the ability to ride, unassisted, to Bobsled twice within the 3 hour session.  Trails being ridden will include Roadside Attraction, Bobsled, and King of The Shore.  On Thursday, riders will start at the Braemar Tennis Courts and climb For The Kids.  They will experience trails on the other side of Fromme, like Lower Expresso and finish off with a lap of Lower Digger.

Rock and Roll, this will be one hot camp!!

6-8+ yrs.

If my child is the required age for the camp, later in the year, can they still be registered?

Yes!

As long as your child is the required age within the calendar year, you can register them for the camp.

Expectations
Can my child always ride with their friend?

We make every effort to keep friends together, but it cannot be guaranteed.

Our groups are created to ensure each rider is kept engaged and in their challenge zone. This creates a cohesive group and a better experience for all the riders.

The groups are defined by the skills of all the children attending that week.

BIKE TUNE UP MANDATORY

Please ensure that your child’s bike is tuned up and ready to roll a few weeks prior to coming to camp.  Bike stores are very busy so phone and make an appointment for the tune up.

Having your child’s bike in good operational condition will create a positive experience for your child.
